The MAHE Samaritans! - Photograph: Afshan Ahmed A weekend with some special kids is the perfect ending to a hectic week.
The Al Noor Center for Children with Special Needs organized its annual Family Fun Fair at its premises in Al Barsha on Friday, 7th March 2008. This crowd puller held between 10:00 am - 10:00 pm, saw people from all over the country participate to extend their whole hearted support to an organization that has dedicated itself to creating awareness and fulfilling the needs of special children in the UAE.
The altruistic students of MAHE swapped their relaxing weekend for a day of volunteering at the event. They could be seen cheering the children at the Fashion Show and dancing along with them to the steps of Shaimak Dawar. Enjoying every moment, self-satisfaction reflected in their ever move.
The entry ticket of Dhs. 2/- allowed one to indulge in a plethora of activities ranging from shopping, games, pony rides, dancing, shows and also dig into mouth watering goodies, all sponsored for a good cause. The day of giving did not necessarily end with the fair but you can still continue pouring in your support to Al Noor in more ways than one.
